10000 SANTA MONICA
The Asset
A high-rise apartment in one of Beverly Hills' most sought-after buildings, with floor-to-ceiling glass and views that run from the city to the hills. A couple from Laguna rented it as their weekend place in town, a home base for dinners, shows and slow mornings above the city.
The Problem
The unit was builder grade and felt like every other apartment in the building. The clients wanted to start using it right away, so there was no time for custom pieces or long lead times. Every piece had to be in stock and ready to ship.
The Strategy
Rich walnut paneling, installed in a renter-friendly way, gives the plain walls warmth and architecture without any permanent construction. Against it, everything came from in-stock collections: a sculptural velvet lounge chair facing the corner windows, a sleek dark dining table with leather chairs, soft blush rugs and bold, colorful art that plays off the view.
The Outcome
A warm, polished city retreat delivered fast, with nothing about it that feels rushed. The basic unit is gone, and the couple now has a weekend home that feels as personal as their house in Laguna.
