A 1950s dingbat apartment building in West LA. I designed the interiors alongside K2A Architects, who redesigned the exterior.

Small, closed-off 1950s layouts and worn finishes left the building behind today's renters. It had to come down to the studs.

Working with the architects, I opened up the layouts and rebuilt the interiors with modern finishes, so inside and out read as one new building.

A full transformation inside and out. The dated dingbat is gone, and West LA has a modern apartment building that competes with the newer construction around it. Residents get bright, open homes in place of the small, closed-off rooms of the 1950s.
